Good story, not well written. I greatly enjoyed the story line and characters but the way the book was laid out and written was very jumpy and disjointed. At times it was hard to read and I found myself rereading whole paragraphs to try and understand what the author was trying to convey. If you can handle the writing I do recommend this book. I love the vampire royalty and powers idea, though when one turns into a wolf at random towards the end I did not understand why. It is a cute lesbian romance with slightly descriptive sex scenes and does have a good ending. There are three other books in this series but you can read them out of order because they each tell about different sets of people.Product details

As a Bram Stoker traditionalist, this was not folklore vampire. While the story does maintain several truths about vampires, significantly they can only be slain by decapitation, the other many attributes would not apply.
The vampires in this story eat, drink other vampires' blood, and shapeshift, none of which was possible in the origins of the vampire. Eating food and drinking from the dead made vampires incredibly ill which they avoided. Only Bela Lugosi could shape shift.
These vampires could also teleport. While vampires are extremely fast, teleportation was not one of their means of transportation.
The development of a serum to be able to tolerate sunlight was also odd. Who was it tested on, vampire rats? It also took away from the mystique of the vampire.
The sex was a bit over the top, but that is only this reader's personal opinion.
However, for those who enjoy the vampire genre, this is a very well written book if not historicially accurate.
A Guardians love is an excellent continuation of this series. The characters are are well developed. Can't wait for the next one.
Not a bad book I liked it it was kinda like the Carpathian series except too women lovers u don't see a lot of good based on lesbian paranormal romance usually it some girl who swoon all over some guy who's domineering don't get me books like are good but u never hardly see good books that are based a lesbian or gay or bisexual paranormal novels but this was good but little short so I'm going give 4 stars but read its not bad
Series is going nicely
I give this 3 1/2 stars. It has romance and action. Loved the characters. I also liked that the couple from book one had a large role in part 2 to allow us to see them grow. I hope that continues as I'd like to see more of Paloma and inger.
I'm not sure if I just didn't like this book or if it was a bad read. Therefore, I give it three stars. I couldn't get into the story or the characters. They just didn't interest me. In fairness, you should try a sample before dismissing or purchasing this book.
Another great book from this author. I loved how it focused on new characters but very much kept the characters from the first book very relevant to the story. Great storytelling and plot. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
